It is very well known and used in gastronomy, especially after dried due to its pleasant odor. When fresh it features a smooth texture, a sweet aroma and a taste similar to the hazelnut and the walnut.

How to use: hydrate the product in warm water for 15 to 20 minutes, after the hydration cook as fresh mushrooms; recommended to enrich pasta, risotto and stew dishes, to accompany meat or vegetable dishes, and also on “miolada”, scrambled eggs and pies. The hydration water can be used to potentiate the mushrooms flavour on any sauce or to boil rice or pasta.
